From 2009 until May 2015, the city of Medicine Hat managed to house 885 people, that of which 250 were children.

The way that Medicine Hat accomplished this, is by making sure that if a homeless person was located on their streets, they would put a focus on finding said person a place to live before working on anything else, for example health issues or drug and alcohol addictions.
